DAIS offers support to existing disability groups and assists in the establishment of new groups in the region.

What support does DAIS give?

• Provide information and advice
• Write submissions for funds
• Provide assistance to become incorporated
• Auspice groups
• Identify issues
• Host visits by statewide groups

DAIS supports the following groups:

Headway Albury Wodonga

Some members have formed a Community Education panel, and are available to speak to students, church groups, sports clubs and businesses about living with ABI.

Wangaratta disAbility Action Group

The Wangaratta disAbility Action Group (WDAG) aims to make Wangaratta the most accessible city in Victoria and meets on the fourth Monday of every month (not December or January) from 11.00 to 12.00 at NESAY Building, 22 Rowan St, Wangaratta.

Albury Wodonga Access Group

The Albury Wodonga Access Group (AWAG) meets to discuss specific access issues with representatives from the City of Albury and City of Wodonga. The Group is looking for new members to join them to discuss access issues, plan forums and other activities.  Headway Albury Wodonga members have recently amalgamated with AWAG.
