Equity & Access
The Equity & Access Page has been designed to act as a central point of reference for HACC funded services in the Hume Region. The information included on this site is not exclusive and is selected at the discretion of the Equity & Access Worker. All contributions are welcome, and further information will be uploaded as it comes to hand.
What is Equity?
Equity is a term which describes fairness and justice in outcomes. It is not about the equal delivery of services, or distribution of resources, it is about recognising diversity and disadvantage, and directing resources and services towards those most in need, to ensure equal outcomes for all.
(Adapted from Dyson, S (2001) Gender and Diversity Workbook).
